Anchor Your Family In Colorado
I had an interesting conversation with a client of mine the other day and I thought I would share his words of wisdom with all of you.
My client is an attorney originally from New Jersey. Over the last 20 years of his career he has picked up and moved several times as he moved up in his profession. He is now living in North Carolina. On the 4th. of July he was with his entire family daughters, sons and grandchildren. all were enjoying the parade as we were talking. I could see the joy in his heart as he explained to me about the decision he made 20 years ago.
You see he knew that over time he would probably have to relocate for his job. So with clarity of thought he decided that he would buy a home and some acreage in the La Veta area in order to, in his words "Place An Anchor In The Ground"! He wanted a place where all of his family would come to every year for holidays, vacations and family reunions.
He remarked how wonderful this has worked for his family. Everyone can't wait and always come to meet in Colorado. His children and grand children all have made countless fond memories of their Colorado second home. Everyone is connected to it and it is the one constant in their families universe.
He was genuinely happy and glad he had made that decision all those years ago.
I personally cannot think of a more stirring and compelling reason to have a Colorado second home!
