Grandote, breakfast at the golf course
My office had a breakfast meeting at Grandote Peaks Golf Course this morning. Grandote Peaks is one of the top rated courses in the state and has just opened a restaurant so my office took the opportunity to break it in and tour two extremely fine new homes currently under construction there as well.
I must say the food was great, one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! I just love La Veta! When I got out of my car and was walking to the golf clubhouse this morning I was startled by a couple of Canadian Geese the were being molested by a red fox not 250 feet away. The geese flew off and the fox just stood there and watched as his breakfast left town.
Later during breakfast I learned that the fox was a regular at the clubhouse. He walks right up to a sliding glass door in the dinning room and the patrons throw him pieces of hot dogs. He woofs them down until a couple of local house cats run him off to get the hot dogs for themselves.
After our meeting we viewed a couple of new homes under construction at the golf course. Both are very nice 2800+ sf homes made of superior materials and workmanship. I would think that they should have no problem selling these homes for the $750k price tag they have place upon them.
The restaurant at Grandote will be open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week and will serve dinner to groups on a reservation basis.
I look forward to having lunch with clients on the outside deck while taking in the mountain views!!!
