Stuck On Cordova Pass

Well the Postal Service hasn't got anything on us! A few of my fellow associates and I went up to the top of Cordova Pass on a listing presentation last week. I had a bad feeling about it from the beginning, since we were in the middle of probably the last snowfall of this season and I had about 4 inches of snow on the ground at my place on Raspberry Mountain Ranch (approx. 8,100 ft elevation), and the place we were going too is almost 11,000 feet high.

But hey, everyone wanted to go and see the new 9,000 square foot multi million dollar listing so off we went. I drove my truck just in case. I'm glad I did. There was about 14 inches of snow on the ground on the pass and I was amazed we all made it up to the ranch without too much trouble. It was still snowing pretty heavy at the time so after we concluded our business we climbed into our vehicles and started home.

Dan Brewer was driving Tamara Whites Explorer and left a little ahead of me so when we got to the first turn off our photographer Mark Craddok was riding with me and we noticed that Dan had gone a different way than when we had come in. We both knew we were in the middle of nowhere, but we also felt Dan probably had a better rout so we followed his tracks.

We cam out of the forest onto the Cordova Pass road and soon there after found Dan, Tamara and Karen McNally stuck in a couple of feet of snow on the road since it had not been plowed.

Stuck on the pass

The first thing that came to our minds was that Dan would never live this down. We had a great time giving Dan and Tamara hell! Karen got a signal on her phone and called a friend that lives on the pass and he came over with his plow and cleared the road and pulled them out. But not before we had a little fun and took some pictures.

FYI, this week temps have been in the 80's and all this snow is gone now!!!
