Middle Creek
The area of Middle Creek is a few miles west of the town of La Veta running up towards the La Veta Pass. This is an area of rare beauty with enormous rock outcroppings, upper and lower Middle Creeks as well as Abeta Creek run through this area. The terrain varies from beautiful ranch pasture just outside of town, and transitioning into rugged mountainous terrain with incredible views. Aspens, Ponderosa Pines and varieties of fir trees are everywhere.
The San Louis Rio Grande Railroad runs through this area with its steam powered locomotive providing a dramatic high altitude passenger train ride through the Rockies. At any given time there are usually a ranch or two available as well as numerous parcels of land ranging from 35 to hundreds of acres or more.
